Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a travel Labor and Delivery RN for a 13-week assignment in Harlingen, TX. The role requires a valid RN license, BLS, NRP, and at least one year of Labor & Delivery experience. Travel pay and comprehensive benefits are provided.

You will assess maternal and fetal health, assist with deliveries, monitor fetal status, and educate families. Start ASAP; 36 hours/week on day shift; dedicated recruiter support.

Qualifications

• One year recent Labor and Delivery RN experience.
• Active RN license in good standing.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• NRP Certification.

Responsibilities

• Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per obstetric nursing techniques.
• Prepare equipment and aid physician during labor, delivery and examinations.
• Provide immediate postpartum care including mother and newborn stabilization.
• Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists and other team members.
• Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence-based protocols.
• Document care and interventions in the medical record.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve maternal and neonatal outcomes.
• Perform fetal monitoring and interpret results.
• Assist in cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures.
