Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Santa Maria, CA. The IR tech will assist with minimally invasive procedures, operate imaging equipment, and support the interventional radiology team in a fast-paced clinical setting.

You must have IR tech experience, ARRT/RCIS/RCES, and BLS; ACLS and state licensure are preferred. This travel role offers competitive pay, day shifts, and comprehensive benefits through Fusion.

Qualifications

• One year's recent experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist.
• Valid ARRT or RCIS/RCES certification in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• Preferred ACLS certification and state radiologic licensure are advantageous.
• Other required certifications or licenses may apply.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients for interventional radiology procedures.
• Operate fluoroscopy, CT, and ultrasound to guide procedures.
• Scrub in for sterile procedures and assist with instruments.
• Monitor patient vitals and document procedural details.
• Administer contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Maintain radiation safety for staff and patients.
• Troubleshoot imaging equipment and restock supplies.
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team to ensure care.
• Follow infection control and regulatory protocols.
• Educate patients before, during, and after procedures.
