Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist - Special Procedures with at least 2 years of recent IR/EVOR experience. The role involves working in the Radiology Special Procedures unit, assisting physicians in IR procedures, and maintaining Cerner EMR records.

The position features 8-hour daytime shifts, with call responsibilities and a requirement to work holidays. Eligibility includes graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program, RT licensure, BLS, and

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) with minimum 2 years of recent experience in diagnostic radiology and IR/EVOR procedures.
• BLS certification required.
• License required if applicable
• Cerner EMR experience required.
• Training or experience in general vascular coronary angiography and special procedures preferred.
• Prior cardiac catheterization experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Radiology Special Procedures unit performing IR procedures and assisting physicians.
• 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, plus call responsibilities.
• Cerner EMR experience.
• Assist physicians with interventional radiology procedures.
• Must work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day) and 1 minor holiday (Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year’s Eve).
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered.
• Former permanent staff returning as travelers must have a 2-year break in service.
• RTO must be requested upfront prior to offer and cannot be requested afterward.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
• Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) with a minimum of 2 years of recent diagnostic radiology experience
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in IR or EVOR procedures
• Current BLS certification
• Cerner EMR experience required
• License required if applicable
• Training or experience in general vascular coronary angiography and special procedures preferred
• Prior experience in catheterization preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform IR procedures and assist physicians in a special procedures/radiology department
• 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, plus call
• Uses Cerner EMR
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve)
• Does not accept local candidates within 50 miles of the facility
• Returning staff who previously worked as permanent employees must have a 2-year break before returning as a non-local traveler
