Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week contract in North Carolina. The role requires Neuro/stroke IR expertise and at least 1 year of IR experience, including travel experience. BLS and ARRT certification are required, with ARRT Advanced preferred.

Licensure should be current if applicable, with NC/Compact license accepted at submission. The position involves inpatient IR procedures, 4x10 hour shifts, and rotating call.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of IR experience with Neuro/stroke intervention (hard requirement).
• Travel assignment experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered.
• BLS and ARRT certification required; ARRT Advanced certification preferred.
• License required if applicable; NC or Compact license accepted at submission.
• Inpatient hospital experience with PACS and contrast use required.
• Experience with Siemens and Phillips x-ray equipment required.
• Minimum 1 year of scrub experience on Neuro cases.
• Epic and McKesson charting experience preferred.
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Level I trauma experience preferred.
• Outpatient, OR, and ER experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work in Interventional Radiology unit in an inpatient hospital setting.
• Care for adults, geriatrics, and some adolescents.
• Handle 13-17 procedures daily.
• Perform IR procedures including stents, angioplasty, angiograms, nephrostograms, kyphoplasty, and more.
• Use Siemens and Phillips X-ray equipment; Acuson is preferred.
• Cover 4x10 hour day shifts Mon-Fri with staggered start times.
• Rotate primary and backup call for 24/7 coverage.
• Call expectations: one day every ~4 weeks and some weekends.
• Maintain sterile field and perform scrub duties for all IR procedures.
• Include venous access, port management, PICC care, stent placements, vascular studies.
