Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Cath Lab is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Lynchburg, Virginia. You will prepare patients, operate imaging tools, and assist physicians in sterile procedures within a fast-paced IR lab.

Applicants should have 1 year of IR tech experience, ARRT/RCIS/RCES certification, and BLS. ACLS and state licensure are preferred. Competitive pay and benefits accompany this traveler role.

Qualifications

• One year's recent experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• Proficiency in English language and patient communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients for interventional radiology procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Operate imaging equipment (fluoroscopy, CT, ultrasound) to guide procedures.
• Scrub in for sterile procedures, pass instruments, and maintain a sterile field.
• Monitor and document patient vital signs and procedural details.
• Administer contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Ensure proper radiation safety for patients, staff, and self.
