Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology RN for special procedures support in imaging services. GA or compact RN license and at least 2 years in the specialty are required.

The role involves 10-hour day shifts, on-call duties, and travel-friendly benefits such as housing allowance and travel reimbursements. Candidates must live >50 miles from the facility and participate in holiday coverage when needed.

Qualifications

• Active GA or compact RN license required.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience within the specialty.
• Required certifications: AHA BLS and ACLS.
• PALS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Special Procedures RN role within Imaging Nurses department.
• Provides nursing prep and recovery care for IR, CT, US, MRI, NM, and Fluoro procedures.
• 10-hour day shifts, 4 shifts per week with various start times (0630, 0715, 0800).
• Monday-Friday schedule with occasional Saturday shifts (0730-1230).
• Weekends and holidays otherwise off.
• On call required 2-3 shifts per month.
• Provides nursing prep and recovery support across multiple imaging modalities including IR, CT, US, MRI, NM, and Fluoro.
• Must work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day) and 1 minor holiday (day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year’s Eve).
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility.
• Returning perm staff must have a 2-year break before returning as travelers.
• RTO must be requested upfront and cannot be requested after an offer is made.
