Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology RN for a 13-week assignment in Hermiston, Oregon. Start ASAP, 40 hours per week, days shift. Travel contract with competitive pay and benefits.

Join a dedicated clinical team providing care in IR lab settings, pre- and post-procedure duties, and sedation administration under physician supervision. Must have IR RN experience and valid RN license. Recruitment support provided.

Qualifications

• One year’s recent experience as an Interventional Radiology RN
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS (AHA/ ARC) certification

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive pre-procedure assessments, including reviewing medical history and lab results
• Educate patients and families about IR procedures, sedation, and post-procedure care
• Administer and monitor moderate sedation, ensuring patient comfort and safety
• Monitor hemodynamic status, cardiac rhythms, and oxygenation levels during procedures
• Assist physicians during procedures, ensuring proper positioning, sterile technique, and instrument handling
• Recognize and respond to complications, escalating care when necessary
• Provide post-procedure monitoring and recovery care, including pain management and patient discharge education
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, medications, and procedural details
• Collaborate with IR technologists, radiologists, and other healthcare team members to deliver coordinated care
• Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards
• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice
