Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a contract assignment in Des Moines, IA. The role covers diagnostic and interventional imaging in the IR department with 10-hour shifts, days and evenings, for 13 weeks on a travel basis.

The ideal candidate will hold an active license, possess relevant specialty certifications, and have 18 months of interventional experience, preferably in a critical care setting. Client facility requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Current license in good standing.
• Appropriate specialty certifications/credentials.
• Eighteen months of Special Procedures/Interventional experience preferred, ideally in a critical care setting.
• Other requirements to be determined by our client facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance to the IR team and support patient care in the Interventional Radiology Department.
• Perform diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures in a clinical setting.
• Operate conventional, fluoroscopic or radiology equipment to obtain designated images.
• Assist the physician by monitoring, passing instruments, observing patient response, maintaining sterile field, and evaluating diagnostic data.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations and accepted guidelines.
• Deliver quality, cost-effective patient care in a professional manner.
• Maintain an environment focused on patient-centered care and timely service.
• Prepare and update patient records accurately and legibly.
