Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Portland, Oregon. The role requires 2+ years in Cath Lab/IR or Hybrid OR, ARRT (R) and BLS, and Epic charting experience.

You will support a Cardiac Interventional Radiology unit and may float within the hospital per policy. The schedule features 4x10 hour days, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM, with weekend shifts and a tax-free stipend as part of the pay package.

• Current ARRT (R) and BLS certification.
• Epic charting experience required.

Responsibilities

Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Cardiac Interventional Radiology unit requiring 2+ years of Cath Lab, IR, or Hybrid OR experience.

Details

• Interventional Radiology unit at a teaching hospital
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Weekend shifts required
• Candidates may float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals per unit policy
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience in Cath Lab, IR, or Hybrid OR
• First-time travelers accepted with 3+ years of experience
• Current ARRT (R) and BLS certification
• Epic charting experience required
• License required if applicable
• Must provide two manager or supervisor references from within the last 24 months (charge RN references not accepted)
• Must provide full work history for the last seven years including city, state, dates of employment, and PTO
• COVID vaccination proof required with no exemptions

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include equipment setup, prepping access sites, recognizing life-threatening arrhythmias, and serving as room circulator
• Experience with vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose) required
• Works with fluoroscopy, MRI, and ultrasound equipment
• Follows isolation precautions and PPE protocols
• Refusal to float as requested may result in contract cancellation
• Accepts local candidates at the same rate with no mile radius restriction
• RTO must be submitted upfront and no more than two weeks
• Returning staff must have a gap of at least 6 months since their last assignment
• Former OHSU employees or travelers must provide a reference from their previous OHSU manager
• Must complete required training modules prior to start
