About the Position

We are seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team. The position offers a structured schedule of five 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The daily caseload per technologist is approximately four cases.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform interventional radiology procedures with a focus on general interventional radiology.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout procedures.
• Maintain sterile technique and utilize appropriate safety protocols, including the use of radiation badges.
• Work collaboratively with medical staff to provide high‑quality patient care.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in Interventional Radiology is required. First‑time travelers are accepted.
• Certifications:
  • Current BLS certification.
  • ARRT (R) certification.
  • State certification as a Radiologic and Imaging Sciences Administrator (SCQRSA).
• Additional Skills: Experience with neuro interventional radiology is preferred.
• On‑call Requirement: Technologists will participate in a rotation for on‑call duties along with two other technologists.
• Weekend Requirement: Participation in weekend shifts every third weekend is necessary.

Miscellaneous

• Travelers may be required to float within their scope of practice to meet facility needs, but will not be asked to float between different units or facilities.
• Local radius for applicants is 60 miles; local candidates will not be considered.
• All time‑off requests must be included at the time of application and will require approval based on facility needs.
• Guaranteed hours indicate that the facility may call off 1 shift every 2 weeks.

Working Conditions

The position is based in a tertiary care environment. Scrubs are provided, and charting is done using Epic. There are no parking fees associated with this position.

Candidates should be aware that during hurricane season (June through November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams. Please consider this when confirming a new or extended assignment during this season.
