American Traveler is seeking a travel Special Procedures Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Springfield, Missouri. You will join an Interventional Radiology team on a 5x8 schedule, performing procedures with 1:1 staff ratios and a focus on oncologic, dialysis, neurology, and stroke-related cases.

ARRT (R) certification and a minimum of 2 years IR experience are required, with BLS and additional registry credentials preferred.

Qualifications

• ARRT (R) certification required; license required if applicable
• BLS certification from AHA required
• Minimum of 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience required
• Advanced registry certification (CI, VI, or RCIS) preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic and invasive procedures across various anatomy and pathology
• Provides scrub assistance during procedures, records images, and operates essential patient care equipment
• Monitors patients before, during, and after procedures, utilizing immobilization and transfer devices
• Reviews medication reconciliation forms for contraindications prior to contrast administration
• Operates oxygen, suction, blood pressure and other essential equipment as needed

Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Special Procedures role requiring ARRT (R) certification and 2+ years of IR experience.

Details

• Interventional Radiology unit with four procedural suites
• 1:1 patient-to-staff ratio during procedures
• Patient population includes oncology, dialysis, neurology, and pulmonary embolism cases
• Uses Siemens imaging equipment and EPIC Radiant EMR
• Days shift, 5x8, Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Call requirements include one to two weekends per month and four to six weekdays per month
• Float requirements as needed per facility policy

Requirements

• ARRT (R) certification required; license required if applicable
• BLS certification from AHA required
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant Interventional Radiology experience required
• Advanced registry certification (CI, VI, or RCIS) preferred

Additional Information

• Performs diagnostic and invasive procedures across various anatomy and pathology
• Provides scrub assistance during procedures, records images, and operates oxygen, suction, blood pressure, and other essential patient care equipment
• Administers contrast materials and reviews medication reconciliation forms for contraindications prior to contrast administration
• Monitors patients before, during, and after procedures, utilizing appropriate immobilization and transfer devices
• Green surgical scrubs are provided daily and must remain on-site
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption required for all travelers from November 1 to April 1, with no declinations accepted
• Facility is a Level 1 Trauma & Burn Center and Level 2 Stroke Center
• First-time travelers may be considered
• Local candidates accepted, subject to a reduced bill rate within a 50-mile radius
• Up to 5 days of requested time off allowed, to be made up during the assignment
