Responsibilities

Prepare and position patients for interventional radiology procedures, ensuring comfort and safety
Operate imaging equipment, including fluoroscopy and other modalities, to guide procedures
Scrub in for sterile procedures, pass instruments, and maintain a sterile field
Monitor and document patient vital signs and procedural details
Administer contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions
Ensure proper radiation safety for patients, staff, and self
Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment, ensuring readiness for procedures
Manage and restock procedural supplies
Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other team members to provide seamless patient care
Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory protocols
Provide patient education before, during, and after procedures
Perform other duties as assigned to support IR lab operations
Adhere to hospital safety protocols and regulatory standards

Qualifications

Required: One year’s recent experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist
Required: Valid ARRT or RCIS/RCES certification in compliance with state regulations
Required: Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
Preferred: Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC)
Preferred: Valid Radiologic Technologist license in compliance with state regulations
Preferred: PALS or ENPC certification
Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position
