American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a teaching hospital, requiring 18 months of IR experience and ARRT certification.

Details

• Interventional Radiology unit within a short-term acute care teaching hospital
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• On-call requirements apply
• May float within scope to Cath/EP areas and to sister facilities within a 20 mile radius
• Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

• 18 months of experience in Interventional Radiology required, 2 years preferred
• ARRT (R) certification required
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• State license required if applicable
• CCI RCIS certification preferred
• Experience with abdominal, pelvic, and genitourinary angiography and interventions
• Skilled in embolization, chemoembolization, angioplasty, stent placement, IVC filter placement/removal
• Experience with liver biopsy, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and nephrostomy procedures
• Proficient in vascular closure systems including Perclose and StarClose
• Able to perform equipment set up, room circulating, and sterile field scrubbing
• Able to care for young adult, middle adult, and older adult patient populations

• Perform a wide range of vascular and interventional procedures including angiography, embolization, stent placements, and biopsies
• Ceil blue scrub color required
• COVID-19 and flu vaccines required with medical/religious exemptions only
• Expected to work every other holiday
• All RTO must be discussed during interview and submitted upfront; no additions accepted after submission
• First-time travelers accepted
• Locals accepted at the same bill rate
• Permanent staff cannot return to the facility for 1 year from their previous end date
• EKG and pharmacology testing required during orientation with a maximum of 2 attempts each
