Essential Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and minimally invasive IR procedures while supporting multiple IR locations as assigned.
• Performs comprehensive pre-procedure assessments, including review of medical history, medications, allergies, and vital signs, and verifies patient consent.
• Prepares patients for procedures, ensuring appropriate education, safety checks, and coordination of care.
• Provides intra-procedure support as a circulating nurse or moderate sedation nurse.
• Monitors patient status, vital signs, oxygenation, and response to medications throughout procedures.
• Administers and monitors moderate sedation in accordance with organizational policies and clinical protocols.
• Collects, labels, documents, and ensures proper handling and transport of specimens in accordance with policies and laboratory requirements.
• Performs post-procedure recovery care, including monitoring for complications and ensuring patients meet discharge criteria.
• Provides patient and family education, discharge instructions, and supports post-procedure follow-up as needed.
• Collaborates with physicians, technologists, schedulers, and interdisciplinary teams to support efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.
• Maintains accurate clinical documentation and ensures readiness of medications, supplies, and emergency equipment in compliance with regulatory standards.

Pay Information

Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
