Job summary

Trinity Health at St. Mary’s Athens, GA seeks an Interventional Radiology (IR) Tech to join a fast-paced imaging team. You will support fluoroscopy-guided procedures and assist physicians in scrub/circulator roles while maintaining patient safety and image quality.

The ideal candidate demonstrates thorough knowledge of radiographic and digital imaging equipment, can acquire and send images to PACS, and communicates clearly with the team. On-site, 3x12 shifts with a $2,808 weekly rate.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Diagnostic Radiology program.
• ARRT Radiography credentialing required.

Responsibilities

• Assists physicians as scrub/circulator for Interventional Radiology procedures.
• Demonstrates thorough knowledge of radiographic/digital imaging equipment and table positioning.
• Acquires images and sends them to PACS.
• Communicates clearly with team members.
• Transports patients to/from procedural areas and recovery areas.
• Assists with patient transfer to/from procedure table.
• Maintains communication with physician operator for safety and diagnosis.
• Learns new procedures and coordinates in-service/education for staff.
• Administers contrast media under physician direction.
• Reviews history, labs, prior imaging and correlates protocols with patient status.
