Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Cardiac Interventional Radiology assignment in Charlottesville, Virginia. The role requires ARRT(VI) certification and 2+ years of vascular IR experience, with 40 hours weekly and 8-hour day shifts.

You will work in the Interventional Radiology department providing imaging support in the OR for vascular IR procedures, with hybrid OR settings and rotating call every fourth week. Epic EMR experience is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience required.
• Current ARRT(VI) and BLS certification required.
• VA state license required if applicable, or eligible with in-hand licensure in another state with ETA.
• Trauma Level I hospital experience preferred.
• Experience with vascular studies and procedures including angioplasty, endovascular interventions, EVAR, TEVAR, and thrombolysis/thrombectomy.
• Experience with upper and lower extremity angiography required.
• Carotid stenting and thrombectomy experience preferred.
• Experience prepping access sites and using vascular closure systems preferred.
• Siemens equipment and ultrasound experience preferred.
• Epic EMR experience required.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Interventional Radiology department providing imaging support in the OR for vascular IR procedures.
• Hybrid OR and special procedures work settings.
• 5x8 hour day shifts from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
• Rotating call required every 4th week.
• Must float within scope of practice as needed.
• 50-mile radius rule applies.
