Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Cath Lab is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Olney, Maryland. The role involves assisting with IR procedures, operating imaging equipment, and ensuring patient safety in a fast-paced lab.

Requirements include 1 year IR tech experience, ARRT/RCIS/RCES certification, and current BLS. Preferred ACLS and state licensure may be beneficial. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• One year’s recent experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist.
• Valid ARRT, RCIS, or RCES certification as per state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC) is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients for IR procedures and ensure comfort.
• Operate imaging equipment (fluoroscopy/CT/ultrasound) to guide procedures.
• Scrub in for sterile procedures, pass instruments, maintain sterile field.
• Monitor vital signs and document procedural details.
• Administer contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Ensure radiation safety for patients, staff, and self.
• Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment for readiness.
• Restock procedural supplies and assist with inventory.
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses and team for patient care.
• Follow infection control and regulatory protocols.
• Educate patients before, during, and after procedures.
