Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Santa Maria, California. You will support physicians during minimally invasive procedures and ensure patient safety and high-quality imaging throughout the case workflow.

The IR technologist will prepare patients, operate fluoroscopy, CT and ultrasound equipment, and collaborate closely with radiologists and the clinical team in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• One year’s recent experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist.
• Valid ARRT, or RCIS/RCES Certification in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients for interventional radiology procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Operate imaging equipment, including fluoroscopy, CT, and ultrasound, to guide procedures.
• Assist physicians by scrubbing in for sterile procedures, passing instruments, and maintaining a sterile field.
• Monitor and document patient vital signs and procedural details.
• Administer contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Ensure proper radiation safety measures for patients, staff, and self.
