Job summary

GHR Travel Nursing is seeking a Hospital Pharmacist for an inpatient pediatric role in New Haven, CT. This 13-week travel assignment supports a children’s hospital team in a fast-paced acute care setting, with a mix of clinical and operational responsibilities.

Openings: 2. Schedule is 8-hour days and evenings with a block pattern and weekend coverage. Candidates should have inpatient/acute care experience and hold an active CT license; PharmD preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of inpatient or acute care pharmacy experience.
• Active Connecticut pharmacist license required.
• Experience with pediatric dosing preferred.
• Exposure to children's health and women's health strongly preferred.
• Experience with sterile technique, dispensing workflows, or sterile processing is a plus.
• Familiarity with Epic, Pyxis, or Carousel systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support inpatient pharmacy operations in a pediatric-focused acute care setting.
• Verify, prepare, and dispense medications accurately and safely.
• Provide clinical pharmacy support in pediatric and inpatient care areas.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to optimize medication therapy for neonates, infants, children, and adolescents.
• Apply pediatric dosing knowledge and medication safety best practices.
• Assist with operational pharmacy functions as needed, including dispensing and sterile processing workflows.
• Maintain high standards of documentation, quality, compliance, and patient-centered service.
