Job summary
Sweetwater Care is seeking a Travel Infection Control Nurse to support rural healthcare facilities, assessing infection control practices and helping implement prevention plans.
You will educate staff, monitor protocol adherence, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to manage outbreaks, requiring travel across facilities.
LPN license in good standing (compact allowed), CDC/OSHA knowledge, and 1+ year experience are expected; housing stipend and travel reimbursement are provided.
Qualifications
- LPN license in good standing or active Compact license.
- CIC certification preferred.
- Minimum 1 year infection prevention experience.
- Strong knowledge of CDC guidelines and OSHA regulations.
- Excellent communication and travel readiness.
Responsibilities
- Assess infection control practices at assigned facilities.
- Develop and implement prevention plans based on guidelines.
- Monitor protocol compliance and suggest improvements.
- Educate staff on hand hygiene, isolation, and cleaning.
- Collaborate with teams to investigate outbreaks.
- Participate in infection control committees.
- Collect data on infection rates and report trends.
- Stay current with emerging infectious diseases.
