Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing seeks a Travel ICU RN for a 13-week assignment in Joliet, IL. The role is 36 hours per week, with 12-hour night shifts, in a high-acuity ICU environment.

Requires 1 year ICU RN experience, Illinois RN license, and current BLS/ACLS. Preferred CCRN or additional critical care certifications. Competitive benefits and support from a dedicated clinical team are offered.

Qualifications

• One year of ICU RN experience.
• Valid RN license in Illinois or state compliance.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor critically ill patients, recognizing changes in condition.
• Administer complex medications and treatments per critical care standards.
• Operate and manage advanced life support equipment.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort in high-acuity ICU settings.
• Document assessments and interventions in the medical record promptly.
• Provide education to patients and families about ICU care and recovery.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Maintain infection control protocols and participate in quality initiatives.
• Perform other duties within scope as assigned.
