Job summary

TotalMed RN in Evanston, IL, seeks an ICU Travel Nurse to work 12‑week assignments on nights, with 36 hours per week and 12‑hour shifts. The role requires 1–2 years of recent acute ICU experience and current ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications.

Travel experience and the ability to lift 20–50 pounds are pluses. You'll provide direct ICU care, document care plans, educate families, and coordinate with physicians and other staff while ensuring patient safety and quality care in a fast-paced travel

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• ICU travel nurse with 1–2 years of recent acute care ICU experience preferred.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct ICU bedside care and monitor critically ill patients.
• Document patient care plans and coordinate with physicians and staff.
• Educate and support patient families, including long-term care planning when needed.
• Delegate tasks to other care providers as appropriate.
• Monitor equipment and interpret clinical data to ensure patient safety.
