Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Dallas, Texas. The ICU RN will provide direct patient care in a high-acuity setting, coordinate with physicians and teams, and support families. This travel assignment is 13 weeks with 36 hours weekly, night shifts.

Ideal candidates have ACLS/BLS certifications and at least 1 year of acute care experience; continues education and travel benefits offered by TotalMed RN.

Qualifications

• 1 year of recent acute care experience required.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Travel RN in ICU, Dallas area.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and monitor patients in the ICU setting.
• Provide prescribed medications, document administration, and report adverse reactions.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests as ordered by physicians.
• Take and process lab samples, order labs, and interpret results.
• Monitor and adjust ICU equipment; document vital signs and readings.
• Ensure proper placement and functioning of catheters, leads and tubing.
• Communicate patient status and concerns to families and care teams.
