Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN for ICU in Youngstown, Ohio. This 13-week contract involves a 4x12 night schedule (36 hours/week) with mandatory BLS and ACLS where required. Two years of bedside experience is highly desired.

You will assess patients, plan care, document records, and participate in discharge planning and education. The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and high-quality patient care, with the company offering comprehensive benefits and travel support.

Qualifications

• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS required prior to first shift for specific locations.
• Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission.
• Develop individualized care plans based on assessment data and collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the medical record.
• Participate actively in the patient rehabilitation program, focusing on patient education and achieving quality outcomes.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching upon admission, ensuring a smooth transition at discharge.
• Communicate effectively changes in patient status to support continuity of care.
• Provide direction and training to nursing support staff and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
• Promote a positive work environment through teamwork and effective communication.
