Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN for an ICU position in Canton, Ohio. This 13-week contract requires 36 hours per week, with 12-hour day shifts and travel employment status.

The RN will ensure delivery of quality care, supervise nursing staff, and maintain patient and staff safety while adhering to organizational core values. The role requires BLS and ACLS certification and at least two years of bedside experience.

Qualifications

• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS Certification required prior to first shift (for specific locations).
• Minimum of two years of bedside clinical experience highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Perform a nursing assessment on all patients within 8 hours of admission.
• Identify teaching needs and goals related to each patient's diagnosis through collaboration.
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely.
• Participate in the patient rehabilitation program by utilizing the nursing process.
• Initiate discharge planning on the day of admission and begin patient education.
• Communicate significant changes in patient status to support continuity of care.
• Provide direction and supervision of ancillary nursing personnel and delegate tasks appropriately.
• Ensure personal and environmental safety in accordance with hospital policies.
• Contribute positively to the unit's functioning and participate in team building activities.
• Prioritize activities and plan for effective use of time and staff.
