Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU for a travel assignment in Redding, California. The position runs for 13 weeks with 36 hours per week on a 12-hour night shift.

The ideal candidate holds an active RN license, a degree from an accredited nursing program, and BLS & ACLS certifications, with at least 18 months of ICU experience. Travel benefits and comprehensive credentials support are provided.

Qualifications

• Active RN license.
• BLS and ACLS certification.
• Eighteen months of recent Acute Care ICU experience.
• Other client-specific requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and education to the patient's family.
• Ensure proper functioning of life support equipment such as ventilators and feeding tubes.
• Observe heart rate, blood pressure and respiration for signs of distress.
• Administer medications, IVs, and insert catheters as needed.
• Meticulous documentation of medication administration.
• Assist in emergency nursing procedures for prompt control of changes in condition.
• Perform CPR accurately and effectively.
