Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Travel ICU RN for night shifts in Kearney, Nebraska. This ICU assignment requires an active NE or compact RN license, ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and experience in a Level II trauma center.

You will work 12-hour nights, covering 36 hours per week, with travel benefits and stipends. Expect orientation with a 12-hour shift and strict adherence to high-acuity patient care, telemetry interpretation, and unit protocols.

Qualifications

• Active NE or compact RN license required at time of consideration.
• Minimum of 2 years recent ICU RN experience required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are mandatory.
• Must be able to titrate critical care drips and manage ventilated patients.
• Experience reading and documenting on telemetry, using GE monitors.

Responsibilities

• Work in an acute care ICU with 33 beds and an average daily census of 16.
• Patient population includes trauma, cardiac, overdose, sepsis, post-stent, post-pacemaker, stroke, vascular, renal failure, heart failure, and respiratory distress in adult patients.
• Nurse to patient ratios are 1:2-3 for adults.
• Reads telemetry strips and titrates cardiac, insulin, and sedation drips as needed.
