Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA seeks a Travel Registered Nurse for our General ICU. This 14-week assignment offers a $75.00/hr pay rate with night shift coverage in a 16-bed unit serving complex cardiac and vascular cases.

The RN must have 2+ years ICU experience, a Virginia or Compact license, and BLS/ACLS; NIH Stroke Scale certification is preferred. This travel role carries no benefits and requires travel readiness.

Qualifications

• Two+ years of current acute care hospital ICU RN experience required.
• Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and ACLS required; NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients in a 16-bed General ICU with diagnoses including MI, dysrhythmias, post-procedural care, and respiratory distress.
• Monitor patient conditions and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement care plans.
• Document and communicate patient status, ensure safety and adherence to hospital protocols.
