Job summary

Sentara Heart Hospital in Norfolk, VA is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Surgical ICU for a 14-week assignment. The role offers a $70.00/hr pay rate, night shift, and a temporary full-time contract on a 14-week cycle.

The CSICU unit handles 20 beds with high-acuity post-surgical patients who require intensive monitoring and care. Qualified candidates will have an active Virginia or Compact Multi-State license, BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale, and at least two years of Cardiac

Qualifications

Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or diploma in nursing.
Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing.
BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale required.
Minimum 2 years of Cardiac ICU travel nurse experience.

Responsibilities

Care for a 20-bed CSICU unit with 1–2 patients based on acuity.
Provide care to post-open heart surgery patients (CABG, valve procedures, TAVR, etc.).
Monitor hemodynamics, ventilators, and multiple drug infusions; manage IABP and CRRT as needed.
