Job summary

TotalMed RN in Des Moines, IA is seeking an ICU Travel Nurse for a 13-week assignment with a 36-hour work week and night shifts. 1–2 years of recent acute care experience and ACLS/BLS/NIH certifications are preferred.

The ICU travel RN will evaluate and monitor patients, administer medications, order and interpret tests, and coordinate care with physicians. Travel roles include education for families and potential long-term planning support.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years recent acute care experience.
• ACLS, BLS, NIH, 1 Year • Additional certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and monitor patients in an ICU setting.
• Provide direct nursing care and document physician-directed care.
• Assess and implement patient care plans and delegate tasks as appropriate.
• Educate and support patient families, including long-term care planning.
