Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week assignment at a Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma teaching hospital requiring CA RN licensure. The role features day shifts (3x12), no on-call, and opportunities for travel staffing across ICU/TELE units.

The position requires active CA RN license, BLS/ACLS/NIHSS certs, and at least 2 years ICU experience, with additional preference for travel nurses and Cerner experience.

Qualifications

• Active CA RN license required.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years ICU experience required; strong candidates with less tenure may be considered.
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred; strong candidates without it may be considered.
• Cerner charting experience preferred.
• Trauma Level I experience preferred.
• Charge nurse experience preferred.
• Skills in ventilated patient care, continuous IV sedation, procedural sedation monitoring, cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and IV therapy required.
• ICP monitoring experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work in the ICU/Tele Resource Center of an acute care hospital.
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 to 19:30.
• Weekend coverage required.
• No on-call requirements.
• Floating required within scope to any ICU/TELE units based on facility need.
• Uses Cerner charting system.
• Work in a Magnet-designated, teaching hospital with Level II Trauma Center status.
• Up to 5 days of requested time off and 1 approved holiday off per assignment.
• Strict dress code: no facial hair, acrylic nails, unnatural hair colors, visible piercings other than small earlobe earrings, and all tattoos must be covered.
• No specific scrub color required, but camouflage and character patterns are not permitted.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
• Local candidates accepted at standard bill rate.
• Previous staff must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler.
• Free parking available on-site.
