Job summary
American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse for a travel assignment in New Mexico. Candidates must hold an active NM or Compact state license, and possess BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
ADN/ASN required with a minimum of 2 years ICU experience and at least one 13-week travel assignment. Successful completion of the Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia test is required, with one retake allowed.
Qualifications
- Active NM or Compact State RN license
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- ADN or ASN required
- Minimum 2 years ICU experience
- At least one prior 13-week travel assignment
- Must pass an onsite Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia test (BCA) with one retake allowed
Responsibilities
- Surg/Nursing unit within a hospital setting
- 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
- Floating between departments/local facilities within 20 miles
- EPIC EMR experience preferred; training provided on-site
- Provide direct patient care using nursing process and documentation
- Administer medications per orders and protocols
- Coordinate care with patients, families, and healthcare team
- Provide clinical supervision to LPNs and non-licensed staff
- Complete education and competency testing per unit standards
- Residents living more than 50 miles away are eligible for consideration
- Former Presbyterian Health Services staff must wait one year before travel assignment consideration
