Job summary

HealthForce Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse – ICU Travel assignment in Bakersfield, California. The 13-week contract starts 10/12/2026 with 3x12-hour day shifts, delivering coordinated care in a high-acuity inpatient ICU.

Candidates must hold an active California RN license and have ICU nursing experience. The role offers travel support, housing assistance, extensions, and a generous referral bonus; pay is weekly with variable final figures.

Qualifications

Active California RN license.
ICU nursing experience.
Ability to work a 12-hour shift pattern (3x12-hour days).
Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Deliver coordinated nursing care for ICU patients according to standards.
Supervise and direct activities of nursing staff and coordinate with other disciplines.
Monitor patient status, interpret telemetry and vital signs, respond to changes.
Administer medications and therapies, manage IV lines and ventilator support as needed.
Document care in the EMR and participate in discharge planning.
Collaborate with the team to ensure safe, patient- and family-centered care.
