Job summary
MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Trauma ICU for a travel assignment in Madison, Wisconsin. This role requires an active RN license, an accredited nursing degree, and BLS/ACLS certification with at least 18 months ICU experience.
The position is travel-based, with 36 hours per week on 12-hour day shifts. Housing or housing allowance, travel reimbursement, and comprehensive benefits are included, with weekly pay and credentialing support.
Qualifications
- Active RN license in good standing.
- Degree from an accredited nursing program.
- BLS and ACLS certification.
- Eighteen months of recent ICU experience in an Acute Care setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and family education and support.
- Ensure proper functioning of critical life-support equipment (ventilators, tubes).
- Monitor patient vitals and respond to distress signals.
- Administer medications and manage IVs and catheters as needed.
- Document all medications accurately and thoroughly.
- Assist in emergency nursing procedures to rapidly stabilize patients.
- Perform CPR and other critical interventions as required.
