ICU Registered Nurse - 12 Hour Night Shifts

Schedule

Shifts are scheduled for three 12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, with weekends and holidays as needed.

Job Description

The ICU Registered Nurse will provide high-quality patient care in a critical care setting, managing patients with complex conditions including strokes, dialysis, head bleeds, and other neuro disorders. The role involves collaboration with an intensivist and a 24/7 APP coverage to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and titrate IV drips, including Levophed, insulin, and paralytics.
• Monitor patient vitals and assess critical conditions using equipment such as vents and BiPap.
• Document patient care using the EPIC charting system.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Provide patient and family education regarding care plans and treatment options.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license.
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Previous ICU experience in a critical care setting strongly preferred.
