Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Travel Critical Care RN for a Tyler, TX assignment in the ICU. Start date 01/12/2026, 13 weeks, 36 hours per week, 3x12s, days. Requires TX license, BLS/ACLS, and critical care experience.

Active TX license, BLS/ACLS, and 1+ year CCU experience are required; 2 years trauma preferred. Perks include housing stipends, travel and licensure reimbursements, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Active TX or compact RN license required at time of consideration.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA required.
• At least one year of recent critical care experience in a similar healthcare setting required.
• Two years of experience in a Level I Trauma setting preferred.
• Must have a 2-year degree; 4-year degree preferred.
• Proficiency in English required.
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility and not reside in the specified surrounding counties.
• Former permanent staff must be separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler.

Responsibilities

• Position is in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a hospital.
• Day shifts: 3x12 hours, 7:00 to 19:00.
• Critical care patient population with a range of complex medical needs.
• EPIC charting experience preferred.
• The RN will deliver patient care using the nursing process, communication, and time management skills.
• The role involves coordinating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care.
• High standards for customer service with patients, families, and coworkers are expected.
