Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN STICU - Surgical Trauma ICU for a travel nursing job in Evansville, Indiana. The role requires 13 weeks, 36 hours per week, with 12-hour day shifts in a travel capacity.

Ideal candidates have 1-2 years of recent acute care ICU experience and hold BLS, ACLS, TNCC, NIH certifications. The position includes rotation through ICU responsibilities and family education as needed.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years recent acute care ICU experience.
• BLS, ACLS, TNCC, NIH required.
• Ability to stand/walk long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• 6+? (text indicates) Additional certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care.
• Administer and record prescribed medications and report adverse reactions.
• Order and evaluate diagnostic tests.
• Take samples for lab work and interpret reports.
• Monitor and adjust ICU equipment; interpret electronic displays.
• Ensure proper placement and functioning of catheters, leads and tubing.
• Communicate patients' conditions to family members.
