Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Goldsboro, North Carolina. This position is a 13-week assignment requiring 36 hours per week on a 12-hour shift, with travel benefits and credentialing support.

The ideal candidate will hold an active RN license, have a degree from an accredited nursing program, and possess BLS & ACLS certification, with at least 18 months of recent ICU experience.

Qualifications

• Active RN License is required.
• Degree from accredited nursing program is required.
• BLS & ACLS Certification required.
• Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care ICU setting.
• Other requirements to be determined by our client facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in ICU and education/support to patient's family.
• Ensure proper functioning of life support equipment such as ventilators and feeding tubes.
• Observe heart rate, blood pressure and respiration for signs of distress.
• Administer medications, IVs, and insert catheters as needed.
• Meticulous documentation of medication administration.
• Assist in emergency nursing procedures to control changes in patient condition.
• Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation accurately and effectively.
