Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking an ICU travel nurse in Houston, TX. The traveler will cover 12-hour day shifts on a 36-hour weekly schedule, in a high-acuity ICU setting with 1-2 years of acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities include bedside care, medication administration, test interpretation, complex patient monitoring, and family communication. Travel role with benefits and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS certifications required.
• NIH certification may be required before assignment.
• 2 years of recent acute care/ICU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and monitor patients in an ICU setting.
• Document and provide physician-directed care and care plans.
• Administer prescribed medications and record any adverse reactions.
• Monitor diagnostic tests and interpret lab results.
• Operate and monitor ICU equipment and record readings.
• Communicate patient conditions to family members.
