American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN for an ICU - Intensive Care Unit/Med Surg assignment in Burlingame, CA. Start date 01/26/2026 for 13 weeks at 36 hours per week with night 12-hour shifts.

The role requires floating to SDICU, Telemetry, and Med Surg and includes a tax-free stipend structure. The ideal candidate will have a CA license, BLS/ACLS/NIHSS, and a minimum of 4 years of RN experience in ICU settings.

Qualifications

• Active CA RN license.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Minimum of 4 years of RN experience.
• ICU experience with float to SDICU, Telemetry and Med Surg.

Responsibilities

• Float among ICU/SDICU, Telemetry and Med Surg units.
• Night shift schedule: 19:00–07:00, 3x12 hour shifts.
• No on-call requirements and every other weekend coverage.
• Care for critical care, step-down, telemetry and med-surg patients.
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility.
• Returning travelers require a 1-year break in service.
• Holiday time-off limits and lab work within 3–5 days of signing.

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN with a CA license and strong floating capabilities for a night shift position.

Responsibilities

• Work in the ICU with float requirements to SDICU, Telemetry, and Med Surg units
• Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
• Every other weekend coverage required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Patient population includes critical care, step-down, telemetry, and med-surg
• Must be willing to float among all inpatient units as needed
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
• Returning travelers must have a one-year break in service to be eligible
• Only one holiday off will be approved for requested time off
• Availability for lab work within 3-5 days of signing required
