Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing seeks a Histotechnologist (HTL) / Histology Technician (HT) for a 13-week travel assignment in Coos Bay, OR. You will process and prepare tissue samples for microscopic examination, supporting pathologists with high-quality slides and accurate labeling.

Qualifications include 1 year of HTL/HT experience and applicable licensure. ASCP/AMT/AAB certifications are preferred. Comprehensive benefits and 24/7 recruiter support provided.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Histotechnologist (HTL) or Histology Technician (HT).
• Valid license when needed per state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Receive, process, and prepare tissue specimens for microscopic examination.
• Differentiate normal, reactive, infectious, and malignant cellular changes.
• Embed, section, stain, and prepare slides using histology techniques.
• Operate and maintain microtomes, tissue processors, and automated stainers.
• Verify specimen accuracy and proper labeling/documentation.
• Follow QC protocols to ensure reliable slide preparation.
• Prepare slides for special stains and immunohistochemistry.
