Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Histotechnologist (HTL) / Histology Technician (HT) for a 13-week travel assignment in Coos Bay, OR. You will prepare tissue specimens, embed, section, stain, and ensure high-quality slides for examination by pathologists.

The role requires 1 year of HTL/HT experience, licensing as required, and preferred ASCP or equivalent certification. Benefits include travel-friendly pay, first-day medical coverage, PTO after 1560 hours, and licensure/CEU reimbursement.

Qualifications

• One year of recent HTL/HT experience.
• Valid license where required by state regulations.
• Preferred ASCP or equivalent certification.

Responsibilities

• Receive, process, and prepare tissue specimens for microscopic examination.
• Embed, cut, stain, and prepare slides using histology techniques.
• Operate and maintain microtomes, tissue processors, and staining machines.
• Label, document, and ensure specimen accuracy and Quality Control.
• Assist pathologists and prepare slides for special stains and IHC.
