Job summary

Cross Country Allied is seeking a travel Histology Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Santa Rosa, California. The role involves performing histology procedures including grossing, embedding, microtomy, staining, and both automated IHC and manual stains in a hospital setting.

The schedule is Sunday-Thursday, 4:00 pm to 12:30 am, totaling 40 hours per week with nights. Requirements include 2 years of histology experience, ASCP-HT certification, an Associate's Degree in Science, hospital lab

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of histology laboratory experience.
Certification as Histotechnologist (ASCP-HT) required.
Associate degree in Science with hospital lab experience and valid license.
Experience with Epic (EPIC) charting system preferred.
Flexibility to work variable travel assignments.

Responsibilities

Perform histology procedures including grossing, embedding, microtomy and staining.
Prepare samples for immunohistochemistry (IHC) and manual stains.
Process routine hospital specimens and maintain quality controls.
Adapt to hospital environment and shift requirements.
