Job summary

Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a Field Service Technician – Manufacturing to support installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of power distribution equipment at customer sites. This is a 100% travel position, requiring frequent overnight stays and strong electrical/mechanical troubleshooting skills.

The ideal candidate will read technical drawings, interpret schematics, and work independently in customer-facing environments.

Qualifications

Two-year technical degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum 2 years of electrical and/or mechanical experience.
Hands-on electrical and mechanical troubleshooting experience.
Ability to travel 100% with overnight stays.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, BOMs and equipment specifications.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

Travel to customer sites to support installation, start-up, testing, and commissioning.
Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues independently or in a field service team.
Diagnose, repair, adjust, and configure electrical and electromechanical equipment.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and BOMs.
Use standard electrical test equipment to diagnose and repair equipment.
Document field notes, repairs, and equipment conditions in field service reports.
