Job summary

Wunderlich-Malec Engineering seeks a Construction Project Manager to oversee engineering projects for clients, with budgeting, scheduling, and QA responsibilities at client sites. The role begins in the St.

Louis area and will transfer to Atlanta as projects progress, requiring strong communication and a hands-on management style. Candidates should have 5–10+ years in project management, a solid grasp of mechanical and electrical concepts, and construction methods.

Qualifications

• Requires 5–10+ years related experience.
• Knowledge of project management, mechanical system concept development, design, layout; budgeting and scheduling; procurement specifications; and drawing/technical specification reviews.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Solid understanding of electrical engineering, design and documentation principles, materials, systems, and construction methodology.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects delivering engineering solutions that meet client expectations, on time and within budget.
• Develop and administer project budgets and cost controls; perform cost estimating and value engineering as appropriate.
• Represent the firm in dealings with clients, consultants, contractors and other agencies.
• Participate in business development and quality assurance as directed by the Business Unit Manager.
• Provide technical assistance in proposal development, presentations, and project delivery.
