Job summary

Acuren is seeking Heat Treat Technicians for travel work across the West Region. The Heat Treat Technician II operates furnaces, ovens, and quenching systems per specifications, interprets work orders, and ensures treated materials meet metallurgical and dimensional requirements.

This role performs hardness and microstructure checks, troubleshoots deviations, and maintains process documentation. Training and supporting junior technicians is a key aspect of the position.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in Heat Treat field.
• Must be able to pass an extensive background check.
• Must be able to pass company drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Set up Pre-Heat and Stress Relief equipment.
• Interpret work orders, verify temperature and time parameters.
• Produce charts and Heat Treat reports to submit to QC.
• Communicate with Project Manager, QC Manager, and Supervisor.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures; train junior technicians.
• Available for call-out jobs.
