Job summary

ProAutomated seeks engineers who love travel and hands-on work to support automation projects across North America. This on-site role involves starting up and testing systems in collaboration with integrators and manufacturers. You will travel on defined rotations and work directly with customers, ensuring smooth implementation.

Qualifications

• Willing to travel and be away from home on rotation.
• 3+ years hands-on experience in electrical, mechanical, or automation engineering.
• Technical degree or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Personal vehicle within 45 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Support data center startups, performing on-site mechanical, electrical, and control checks.
• Lead startup, checkout, and acceptance testing for warehouse fulfillment and manufacturing systems.
• Partner with automation and controls engineers to test, troubleshoot, and validate systems on-site.
• Provide clear communication and updates to customers and project teams to keep progress smooth and accurate.
• Typical travel rotations follow a days on - 2 off, 10 on -- 4 off, or 14 on -- 7 off; each project brings new challenges and locations.
• Work with customers, gaining real-world experience with large companies while backed by ProAutomated.
