Amerit Fleet Solutions in Sacramento, CA seeks a Travel Diesel Technician/Mechanic to service medium to heavy‑duty fleet vehicles across the Western US. This role is 100% travel with a Monday–Friday schedule and some weekend travel.

You will diagnose, repair, and preventive maintenance, document work orders, and collaborate with Fleet Managers. Competitive pay $40-50/hour with weekly pay and full benefits within 30 days; DOT requirements may apply.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ hands-on experience performing diesel and gas vehicle maintenance and repairs.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to own and maintain the personal tools and toolbox required for the role.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness and ability to meet the physical demands of the position.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical if required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on medium to heavy duty fleet vehicles.

• Work closely with Fleet Managers and Senior Fleet Managers.

Shift: Monday - Friday (Flexible with some weekend travel required)

100% Travel Involved - Western US region- flying or driving required

This is a Travel Tech position that requires Diesel and Automotive Experience. This role requires flexibility, as travel may be scheduled on short notice and can result in sudden changes to your work schedule. Candidates should be comfortable adapting to shifting priorities and working in fast-paced, dynamic, and sometimes ambiguous environments.

Pay & Schedule

Pay: $40.00 – $50.00/hour (based on experience)Pay Frequency: Weekly pay – every Friday

Shift: Monday - Friday (Flexible with some weekend travel required)

What You’ll Do

• Up to 100% travel time

Technicians must be able to perform essential functions that include lifting heavy objects, accessing tight spaces, and bending, stooping, crouching, or crawling as needed to complete repairs.
