LJP Waste Solutions is seeking a full-time Travel Fleet Technician to perform maintenance and repairs on our diesel fleet at the Mankato, MN location, with travel to three Iowa locations up to 50% of the time.
Must have diesel engine repair experience, strong diagnostic skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Tools are the employee’s responsibility; Minnesota Inspection Certification or willingness to obtain it is required.

We are seeking a full-time Travel Fleet Technician to perform a variety of duties related to the maintenance and repair of our fleet. The ideal candidate will have previous diesel mechanic experience, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and complete repairs on diesel trucks, trailers, and equipment
Inspect and repair diesel engines, suspension systems, clutches, Allison transmissions, drivetrains, hydraulic systems, steering systems, fuel systems, electrical systems, HVAC, and air brake systems
Perform assigned work duties in a safe and efficient manner
Properly diagnose driver complaints and equipment issues
Identify root causes of part and component failures
Maintain a clean and professional work environment including tools and equipment
Perform welding repairs as needed
Maintain Minnesota Inspection Certification or willingness to obtain certification
Must have tools necessary to perform job duties
Requirements
Minimum of 1 year of diesel engine repair experience
Minimum of 2 years of mechanical knowledge or related experience
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Must have personal tools required to perform job duties
Welding experience
Experience working on heavy-duty diesel trucks and equipment

Job Type: Full-time, 4- day work week
Schedule: Monday-Thursday, or other designated 4-day schedule
Shift: Day Shift (8:00 AM – 6:00 PM), shift flexible based on company needs
Pay Range: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
Work Location: In person at our Mankato Location, and travel amongst our 3 Iowa Locations
