Job summary

US Foods in Plymouth MN is seeking a Fleet Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on our diesel fleet. You will work onsite in a maintenance facility, documenting repairs in our fleet system and supporting senior technicians.

The role requires 1 year of hands-on heavy-duty diesel experience, a high school diploma, tool ownership, and a valid driver's license. We offer tool allowance, competitive pay, and comprehensive benefits including medical and 401K.

Qualifications

• 1 year of verifiable hands-on experience as a heavy-duty commercial diesel mechanic.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance within DOT standards.
• Complete all required repairs on diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, bobtails, lift gates, etc.).
• Take directions from and assist senior technicians with repairs.
• Document equipment repairs and parts used in the fleet maintenance system.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment per safety rules and regulations; follow leadership instructions.
• Willingness to assume increased responsibility and pursue certifications.
